The Maryland Chamber will have a new look! Stay tuned!

For the Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Transit Administration, it's about moving people—in more ways than one.

Is there a need for your product in the international market, but you're intimidated by the thought of going global? Maryland/Washington D.C. Export Council is a good place to start.

Last week, Seattle-based e-commerce giant Amazon announced a search for a U.S. site for its second headquarters, HQ2. With the prospect of 50,000 new jobs at stake, Baltimore – and Maryland – quickly threw their hats into the ring.

Imagine being able to get from Baltimore to New York City in an hour. No traffic jams, no rail cars, no long lines at airport security. Just you in a comfortable seat, one that happens to be travelling over 300 miles per hour on a Superconducting Magnetic Levitation rail line.

That is the vision of the people at The Northeast Maglev.

With the support of over 3,500 dedicated volunteers, Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake helps low-to-moderate income families in Central Maryland afford a place to call home.

But, not just any home.

After a ceremonial signing of the federal government's $900 million Full-Funding Grant Agreement with U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Elaine L. Chao and Gov. Larry Hogan began the demolition for the new Purple Line Operations Center and construction of the Purple Line.

Maryland joins eight other states - Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont - in plans to further reduce carbon pollution caps.

Gov. Hogan is making available $38.4 million in grants for local roads. There is an application process for the grants, and jurisdictions have until August 31 to submit their application.
